Chaplain Assistant, SPC Alejandro Guzman

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Greetings and salutations on behalf of myself and my Chaplain Assistant, SPC Alejandro Guzman.

As I write this, we are starting the process of retrograding some of our locations and units. Over the next 6-8 weeks, we will gradually be consolidating to one location in preparation for reintegration and redeployment. That means, we will transitioning from 11 locations to 1 central location.

Yes, it is that part of our deployment. And at this time, it looks like our patrol bases will go from being tri-lateral ][shared with the KRG and IA] to bi-lateral. We may not be having another unit take over after we leave. If not, we will be the ones turning out the lights and closing the doors.

As such, I must ask you to make sure that any care packages being sent to our SMs be sent/mailed no later than 15JUN2011. After that, they may not arrive before we start to load up and pack up our equipment. And since there may not be a unit following us, you cannot put on the packages “Or current Unit Chaplain”. I don’t want to see you waste your money and time sending packages that will only be destroyed or put in the trash.

If a unit does RIP/TOA with us, I will pass on the contact information of the incoming BN Chaplain and Chaplain Assistant. That way you can be a blessing to them, if you wish. Thanks again for all your support for our troops. May God richly bless you for all that you have done and are doing to support us.
