In the past six months, you have sent care packages to support the soldiers of the 2-7 CAV, who are currently deployed to Iraq as part of Operation New Day. Normally my Chaplain Assistant, SPC Alejandro Guzman, is the person contacting you on behalf of our Unit Ministry Team to thank you for your support.
I wanted to take this time to personally thank you. Also, normally, such an email would be via my AKO but I am using my personal one because I cannot access AKO at the moment.
I have been back from R&R for just a little over a week and it is amazing how much has changed. Of course, most realize that we have reached the half way point. Now is the time, more than before, to encourage them as they prepare for the last half before going home.
I also wanted to remind you that if you are sending any care packages for either Passover or Easter, they need to be mailed ASAP in order to be properly distributed prior to the holidays. Each and every box that is sent makes a world of difference, especially with our unit being spread out over 11 locations.
Again, thank you so much for your support of our troops. Feel free to forward this email to others that you think would like to be a blessing to your soldiers.
Thanks again.
